Ozone and autologous therapies [abstract]

PURPOSE: One of the proven effects of Ozone Therapy, is the releasing of Growth Factors from Platelets. Some other therapies can have similar effects. Autologous Therapies can be defined as “The therapy that is done by transferring cells, tissues, body liquids originating from the recipient rather than from donor.” The purpose of this presentation is to give information on those therapies.

The Role of Medicinal Mushrooms in Brain Cancer Therapies: Review.

Medicinal mushrooms are considered an unlimited source of polysaccharides (mainly β-glucans) and polysaccharide-protein complexes and possess various immunological and anticancer properties. In addition, their use in integrative medicine leads to a clear reduction of side effects in patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The literature reports a number of beneficial effects of using mushrooms as health supplements in patients affected by high-grade glioma. The effects of medicinal mushrooms on side effects in patients with brain cancer and a case study report are also described in this review.

International audience; African Home-based Care (AHC) and African Traditional Medicine (ATM) provide a number of self-sustainable primary health care workers in a rural region with the appreciation of ancestral knowledge and its contextual management. Objective To present a novel cognitive behavioral therapy program that was developed exclusively for adults with migraine, and to assess the feasibility of this program. Background Unlike previous efforts, we combined different approaches of behavioral therapy into one program: relaxation therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trigger management. Many cancer patients use integrative therapies with a combination of natural products and diets. In the Western world, integrative medicine is often not shared with oncologists even during antineoplastic treatments. This behavior stems from the unmet needs of cancer patients who may feel oncologists’ underestimation of their symptoms and spiritual aspects. This case report demonstrates the potential harm of inadequate diet and nutraceutical intake in a 68-year-old woman with metastatic estrogen receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2-negative breast cancer.
